On a bright Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10.15-10.35 WIB, BPS-Statistics of Sibolga received a visit from a special guest. The new Head of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Sibolga Representative Office, Riza Putera, had the opportunity to visit the BPS-Statistics of Sibolga office, Jl. Tuangkudorong Hutagalung No. 2. This visit was an honor for BPS-Statistics of Sibolga. His presence was accompanied by Yuda Rizkianto, Head of the Statistics and Public Relations Unit, BI Sibolga. The Head of BPS Sibolga City, Sabar Alberto Harianja received this visit in his office warmly and with a sense of family. He was accompanied by Walter Situmeang, Head of the Price Statistics Team and Pertiwi Sry Aminy Head of the General Sub-Section.

This first meeting took place in a friendly and relaxed manner. Many discussion materials were discussed. Various challenges, obstacles and barriers in controlling inflation in Sibolga City were discussed with various strategies. BPS-BI Sibolga shared information related to inflation and economic growth.

In accordance with BPS's vision as a provider of quality statistical data for an advanced Indonesia, BPS-Statistics of Sibolga always reports monthly inflation developments and provides insights or input/suggestions. In various meetings, such as the Sibolga City Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) meeting, BI and BPS become resource persons regarding inflation and economic growth. Informal discussions outside the office are also often held.

Strong collaboration and synergy are strengths in controlling inflation in Sibolga City.
