Abstract

In July 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sibolga City of 2.70 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.54.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 4.59 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.55 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.48 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 3.40 percent; health group by 2.54 percent; transportation group by 0.55 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.26 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.93 percent; education group by 3.25 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.18 percent; and personal care and other services group by 4.24 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in July 2024 was 0.81 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Sibolga City in July 2024 was 2.00 percent.
