Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sibolga Muncipality will be 4.28 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.02.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 8.78 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.35 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.63 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 3.52 percent; health group 12.38 percent; transportation group by 0.16 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.18 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.79 percent; education group by 3.25 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.67 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.96 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for March 2024 was 0.72 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sibolga Muncipality in March 2024 was 2.46 percent.
