On 22-24 July 2024, Sibolga City BPS conducted the August 2024 National Labor Force Survey Officer Training (Sakernas) face-to-face/offline at the Lotus Pujasera Cafe Sibolga. Previously, officers carried out independent learning online for 2 (two) days, namely 18 – 19 July 2024, so that all officers prepared themselves before taking part in face-to-face officer training.
The training participants consisted of 25 field officers, including 7 field supervisors (PML) and 18 field officers (PCL), taught by 2 Regional Instructors (Inda) where one Inda was also a PML, and assisted by 2 committee members.
Sakernas is one of the important sources of employment data in Indonesia, which aims to provide basic employment data on an ongoing basis. The main objective is to know the level of employment opportunities, unemployment rate and the population included in the non-labor force category. Sakernas is held twice a year, namely in February and August. Sakernas data collection was carried out using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) mode, namely by using the FASIH application.
The opening of the August 2024 Sakernas Officer Training was held on Monday, July 22 2024 at 08.00 WIT and was opened by the Head of Sibolga City BPS, Sabar Alberto Harianja. Also accompanying, Rosmiana Hasibuan, Head of the Social Statistics Team, Instructors Evalinda Margaretha and Wahyu Joko Mursalin. In his speech, the Head of BPS Sibolga City conveyed the importance of the results of the August 2024 Sakernas, because they will be used in calculating the level of open unemployment in Sibolga City in 2024. He also encouraged the participants to take part in the training with focus so they can absorb the material presented by the Regional Instructor and carry out data collection in the field according to the SOP for quality data. The August 2024 Sakernas Officer Training is very important, because apart from providing basic employment data, it also trains officers to understand the concept of definitions before going into the field.
