Wednesday (26 June 2024), the BPS-Statistics Sibolga carried out Sectoral Statistics Development activities together with several regional government agencies at the Prima Indah Hotel, Sibolga City. This activity was opened directly by the Regional Secretary of Sibolga City, Drs. Juneidi Tanjung, M.Pd. He said that if a Regional Government Organization is planning a policy, if it does not use data it will produce inappropriate decisions. So, it is hoped that with the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Development carried out by BPS-Statistics Sibolga, it can increase insight into data.
In the Sectoral Statistics Development activity organized by BPS-Statistics Sibolga, there were three topics explained by the presenters. The first topic was presented by Walter Situmeang, which was related to the Beautiful Village program. The implementation of Kelurahan Cantik is expected to be a means of increasing statistical capabilities in the subdistrict so that the statistical data managed is of higher quality as a basis for decision making. The second topic, presented by Rosmiana Hasibuan, was related to Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Development. Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Development aims to assess the quality of the implementation of statistical activities in Regional Government Organizations. It is hoped that by 2025, the City of Sibolga will be able to implement the One Data Forum for the City of Sibolga and also increase the value of the Statistical Development Index.
The third topic was presented by Wahyu Joko Mursalin, namely related to Statistical and Romantic Metadata. Statistical and Romantic Metadata needs to be implemented because it is one of the principles of One Indonesian Data that must be fulfilled. Apart from that, the existence of Statistical and Romantic Metadata will make it easier for Regional Government Organizations to document the statistical activities carried out.
Before the Sectoral Statistics Development activity ended, the Head of Sibolga City BPS, Sabar Alberto Harianja, provided a few conclusions and also several directions for activities related to Sectoral Statistics Development, so that this activity could run regularly and literacy related to statistical activities obtained by Regional Government Organizations could increase.
