The
Sibolga City Publication in Figures (SDA) is a publication that is in great
demand by data consumers. This can be seen through the user access monitoring
page on webdash which shows more than 3,000 (three thousand) downloads for the
2023 SDA City Publication Book. Of course, this situation needs to be
maintained and improved by maintaining the quality, diversity and completeness
of data. Apart from that, ensuring the timeliness of publication according to
the predetermined schedule. The 2024 SDA City Publication Book is scheduled to
be released on February 28 2024, hopefully this can meet the needs of BPS data
users, especially in Sibolga City.
Considering
the importance of the 2024 SDA City Publication Book, Sibolga City BPS held a
Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Preparation of Areas in Figures for Sibolga
City in 2024. The FGD activity was held for two days, namely on Monday and
Tuesday, February 5-6 2024, which took place in the Hall Fl. 2 BPS Sibolga
City, Jl. Tuanku Pushes Hutagalung No.2 Sibolga. This activity was attended by
the Data Manager (Diskominfo) and 21 (twenty one) participants who were data
producers (OPD, Vertical Agencies, and BUMN/BUMD).
The
FGD began with an opening by Sabar Alberto Harianja, as Head of BPS Sibolga
City. On this occasion, he conveyed the role of BPS in the National Statistical
System (SSN) as a Sectoral Statistics Supervisor to realize One Data Indonesia
(SDI). Then, the first material was delivered by Rachmat Miranda, S.E., from
the Sibolga City Communication and Information Service. He delivered material
about the implementation of One Data Indonesia in Sibolga City. The second
material was delivered by Wiwik Rahayuni Lumban Gaol, as Chair of the
Statistical Processing and Dissemination Integration Team (IPDS), BPS Sibolga
City. He emphasized the importance of data quality from the data collection
process through the compilation of administrative products from each OPD,
Vertical Agency, and BUMN/BUMD. This receives special attention because
accurate and quality data will provide representative and objective information
for policy formulators so that the policies taken are right on target. Apart
from that, quality data also supports transparency and accountability in
monitoring and evaluating government policies.
The
third speaker, Leandro Pandapotan Marpaung as a member of the IPDS Team,
delivered a discussion regarding monitoring and evaluation of data entry for
the 2024 Sibolga City Regional Book in Figures from data producers. This is
important because it involves data availability, and also verifying the data
that has been received.
