Abstract

In January 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sibolga City of 2.10 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.60.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 8 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.98 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.21 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.96 percent; the health group by 2.63 percent; the information, communication and financial services group by 0.24 percent; the education group by 2.82 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 5.00 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 6.11 percent. Meanwhile, 3 expenditure group indices that decreased were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 6.47 percent; the transportation group by 0.49 percent; and recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.14 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in January 2025 was 0.06 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Sibolga City in January 2025 was 0.06 percent.
