Thursday (18 July 2024), the Head of BPS-Statistics of Sibolga coordinated with the Sibolga City Communication and Information Service (Kominfo). Head of BPS-Statistics of Sibolga, Sabar Alberto Harianja, accompanied by Walter Situmeang (Chair of the Love Statistics Subdistrict Team), Wahyu Joko Mursalin (Lead of the IPDS Team), and Fahri Azis Sibagariang (STIS Internship Student) was welcomed by the Secretary of Communications and Information, Romatua Hasonangan Panjaitan, S.H. and Head of Statistics, Rachmat Miranda, SE.
In this coordination, the BPS-Statistics of Sibolga conveyed the Sectoral Statistics Development activities that would be carried out to agencies and OPD. Technical Sectoral Statistics Development will be carried out online (via zoom) or offline (direct meeting). It is planned that coaching activities will be carried out every month. With this activity, it is hoped that statistical activities carried out by agencies and OPD will improve and produce quality data to support appropriate policies.
Apart from that, the BPS-Statistics of Sibolga also conveyed regarding village development or what could be called beautiful village activities (love of statistics). This sub-district development will be carried out in four sub-districts in Sibolga City, with each sub-district being represented by one sub-district. Of the four sub-districts, there will be one sub-district that will represent Sibolga City for the national assessment. This activity is also expected to increase knowledge and awareness regarding statistical activities carried out by sub-districts, so that they can produce quality data.
In the midst of the discussion, the Secretary of Communication and Information also provided input regarding how and when to carry out this Sectoral and Cantik Subdistrict Statistics Development activity. Some suggestions and input have the intention of ensuring that this activity can run well, so communication and coordination must always be maintained.
At the end of the discussion, Walter Situmeang conveyed the Bureaucratic Reform activities towards a Corruption Free Area (WBK) which were being carried out by BPS-Statistics of Sibolga, one of which was environmental care activities. The Secretary of Communication and Information welcomed this and intended to take part in environmental care activities.
