Press Release Realization of the 2024 APBN and Regional Economic Analysis in Sibolga City

On Wednesday, March 27 2024 at 14.00-16.00 WIB, the Sibolga City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) participated in a routine event held by the Sibolga City KPPN. The event was held in the meeting hall on the 2nd floor of KPPN Sibolga. In this activity, KPPN Sibolga raised the theme "APBN Press Release and Regional Analysis of Sibolga City". The State Treasury Services Office (KPPN) invited speakers from various agencies, namely, BPS Sibolga City, Sibolga Customs and Excise, and KPP Pratama Sibolga, KPPN.

Based on the results of this press release, tax revenues up to the period 29 February 2024 reached 61.66 billion rupiah in Sibolga City. Realization of Ministry/Agency Expenditures per type of expenditure, namely employee expenditure, goods expenditure, and capital expenditure respectively amounted to 13.4%, 21.01%, and 0.53%. Realization of State Expenditures of Sibolga City and District. Central Tapanuli amounted to 438.66 billion rupiah or 17.62 percent of the total ceiling. The realized value has reached the target in February 2024. This is due to election activities which were carried out in the previous month. It is hoped that this high realization can reduce inflation and increase people's purchasing power, especially Sibolga City, in anticipation of price increases during Eid this year.

Head of BPS Sibolga, Sabar Alberto Harianja was the final resource person. He explained the development of inflation in February 2024 and the economic growth of Sibolga City in 2023. In his presentation, he explained that monthly inflation in February was 0.83 percent, annual inflation was 3.06 percent and cumulative inflation in January-February was 1.73 percent. The economic growth rate of Sibolga City in 2023 is 4.20 percent, experiencing acceleration compared to growth in 2022 of 4.15 percent.

In this activity, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between the Sibolga City KPPN and the Sibolga City BPS. There were two MoUs signed, namely: Providing Government Financial Statistics Data and Macro Indicators for the City of Sibolga and Assistance in Preparation for the Development of an Integrity Zone to Realize a Corruption Free Area (WBK). This meeting took place interactively between the resource persons and the moderator.
