Abstract

In September 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sibolga City of 1.39 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.94.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 10 expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.08 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.88 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.07 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 2.75 percent; health group by 2.62 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.23 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.93 percent; education group by 2.82 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.11 percent; and personal care and other services group by 5.56 percent. Meanwhile, 1 expenditure group index experienced a decline, namely: the transportation group by 0.01 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in September 2024 was 0.34 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Sibolga City in September 2024 was 1.43 percent
