On Wednesday (03/07/2024), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sibolga City hosted the Indonesian Mosaic RRI Sibolga Pro 1 event from 15.00 to 16.00 WIB. This event is routinely held as a follow-up to the Joint Agreement between RRI Sibolga and BPS Sibolga at the beginning of the year. The theme raised was "Inflation in Semester One 2024". Resource persons were Sabar Alberto Harianja, Head of BPS Sibolga City and Walter Situmeang, Head of the BPS Sibolga City Price Statistics Team and accompanied by Vifi Yusnita Purba and Leandro Pandapotan Marpaung as members of the Nerwilis and Price Statistics Team.

The condition of Sibolga City in June 2024 was recorded as experiencing monthly inflation of 0.12% and annual inflation of 3.75%. The main contributor to inflation in June 2024 on an m-to-m basis is the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group with a contribution of 0.32%. The main contributors to inflation include machine-made kretek cigarettes, red chilies, teter fish, dencis fish and avocados. The commodities that are the main contributors to deflation are tomatoes, oranges, live chickens, aso-aso fish and chicken meat.
