Coordination with Sibolga City Regional Secretary: Inflation and "Eat Sibolga Fish" Leaflets

On Tuesday, 02 July 2024, at 09.00-09.20 the day after the City BPS released Inflation, the Sibolga City BPS coordinated with the Acting. Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Sibolga City. Acting Sibolga City Regional Secretary, Drs. Juneidi Tanjung, M.Pd. received the Head of Sibolga City BPS, Sabar Alberto Harianja, Walter Situmeang and Leandro Pandapotan Marpaung as Team Leaders and Members of Sibolga City BPS Price Statistics in his office. He warmly welcomed the arrival of BPS Sibolga City.

The purpose of this meeting is to coordinate as well as convey developments in Sibolga City's inflation situation in June 2024. Briefly report on the situation of Sibolga City's inflation. Monthly inflation (m-to-m) was 0.12 percent and annual inflation (y-on-y) was 3.75 percent. The Head of BPS Sibolga provided the Official News of Inflation Statistics (BRS) for June 2024. Apart from that, BPS Sibolga City also introduced a new dissemination product in the form of a leaflet called "Makan Ikan Sibolga" or Sibolga Information and Indicator Channel Media. This Media Leaflet functions to make it easier for stakeholders in the Sibolga City Government and also the public to understand the data held by BPS, including inflation. This media is the result of the actualization of Basic Training (Latsar) from Leandro Pandapotan Marpaung.

The meeting continued with discussions regarding efforts to control inflation, especially red chilies, shallots, rice and fish. Where these commodities have a large contribution to the inflation rate in Sibolga City. The discussion went well and in a warm atmosphere.
